Families affected by RUNX1-FPD have waited a long time for real progress. Now, for the first time, there are clinical trials open that focus specifically on this condition.

But for many families, the biggest obstacle isn’t qualifying, it’s affording the cost of travel. Getting to the trial site often means missed work, hotel stays, and out-of-pocket expenses that make participation impossible.

This May, we’re raising $50,000 to cover those costs and ensure no one is left behind due to financial constraints

One trial, led by MD Anderson Cancer Center, is testing whether a very low dose of sirolimus (also known as rapamycin) can safely improve blood cell production in patients with RUNX1-FPD by targeting an overactive pathway linked to cancer risk.

Another trial, located at both MD Anderson Cancer Center and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, is focused on collecting and preserving blood stem cells from RUNX1-FPD patients, laying the groundwork for future gene-editing therapies using a patient’s own corrected cells

These trials don’t just help those enrolled. They drive research forward for everyone with RUNX1-FPD. Every dollar brings patients closer to improved care and new possibilities for cancer prevention. More participants mean better data, stronger results, and greater progress.

Your donation doesn’t just fund research, it opens the door for families to be involved. Let’s make sure every patient has the chance to join.

This is our moment to X-Out Blood Cancer. Let’s make it happen together!
